Queensland 2018 Commemorative Ceremony

This year celebrates the 10th anniversary of the event in Queensland and will be held on Sunday 3 June at RAAF Base Amberley, Memorial Garden, commencing at 1100 hrs.

As an element of Air Combat Group, RAAF Amberley is the home of 82 Wing, now equipped with F/A-18 Hornet aircraft performing the strike and surveillance roles while past aircraft included F111, Canberra and Lincoln bombers.

Coordination of the event is undertaken by a sub-committee of the Queensland University Squadron Branch (QUSB) of the RAAF Association – Qld Division.

All RAAF Association branches in South-East Queensland participate in the event along with air crew associations and many RSL Sub-Branches.

The Memorial Garden is located within the Base secure area and BCCS attendees will need to be registered in order to gain access.

Members of the public, who are not connected with one of these associations but would like to attend the commemorative service, may register by contacting the attendance coordinator at Bomber Command Commemorative Day Foundation – Qld; email: bccs.qld@gmail.com
